Wyoming Adds Chainlink Verification to State Stablecoin Reserves

CoineditionCoinedition2026/09/02 20:21

Wyoming has expanded its use of Chainlink infrastructure, adding Proof of Reserve to strengthen transparency around its Frontier Stable Token, or FRNT. The move gives regulators near-real-time visibility into reserves, addressing gaps that monthly reporting can leave between disclosures.

The Wyoming Stable Token Commission already publishes daily reserve attestations. However, Chainlink’s Proof of Reserve adds onchain verification to that process.

The Network Firm reviews FRNT reserves and token supply in accordance to AICPA standards. Meanwhile, Chainlink posts verified reserve data onchain, which provides an onchain method of reserve backing monitoring.

Additionally, the commission plans to adopt Proof of Reserve Secure Mint. The system will not allow for the issuance of new FRNTs until verified reserves are equal to or larger than outstanding supply.

Consequently, the design could reduce risks linked to excessive token creation. It also gives institutions stronger tools for assessing a state digital asset.

Federal stablecoin rules establish monthly reserve disclosures and independent examinations. Significantly, Wyoming’s daily reporting and onchain verification go beyond that baseline.

Moreover, the commission has made Chainlink’s CCIP its exclusive cross-chain infrastructure for FRNT. Hence, Wyoming is positioning transparency and interoperability as elements of its stablecoin strategy. LINK traded near $11.08, down 1.2% over 24 hours and 1.1% over seven days.
