Smart ring unicorn Oura accelerates IPO process, appoints former Netflix and Robinhood executives to its board

Golden Ten Data APP has learned that smart ring manufacturer Oura is accelerating its initial public offering (IPO) process and announced on Wednesday the expansion of its board of directors, adding four independent directors with public company experience. Oura CEO Tom Hale stated in a release that the new members have held leadership positions at prominent companies such as Netflix (NFLX.US), Robinhood Markets Inc. (HOOD.US), and Deliveroo Plc, and are "well-versed in building and scaling global category-defining businesses."

According to previous reports, Oura is seeking to raise up to 3 billion dollars in its US IPO, with the listing possibly happening as early as this month.

The new board members include:

Jason Warnick — Served as Robinhood’s Chief Financial Officer for seven years, leading the online brokerage’s IPO and subsequent business expansion. Previously, he worked at Amazon.com Inc. for nearly 20 years, handling investor relations, audit, and corporate risk-related financial affairs.

Leslie Kilgore — Former Chief Marketing Officer of Netflix, also held positions at Amazon and Procter & Gamble, and has served on the boards of multiple companies including Netflix and Pinterest Inc.

Miki Kuusi — Co-founder of Wolt, served as CEO from the company’s founding in 2014 until its acquisition by DoorDash Inc. in 2022. He remained at the US delivery giant following the acquisition and is currently the CEO of Deliveroo under DoorDash.

David Sze — Partner at Greylock Partners, previously held senior operational roles at Excite and Excite@Home, focusing on the expansion of media and consumer internet businesses. His investment portfolio includes companies such as LinkedIn, Roblox, Pandora, and the former Facebook.

Oura is primarily headquartered in San Francisco and Finland, and submitted its IPO application confidentially in May of this year. The company is reportedly working with Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Allen & Co., and Jefferies Financial Group Inc. to advance its listing.
