⑴ Crude oil futures remained steady above $90 per barrel, reaching the highest level since July 23, after two consecutive days of gains. ⑵ Tensions in the Middle East continue, with the United States launching further strikes against Iran and threatening more destructive attacks. ⑶ Iranian media reported that several targets near the Strait of Hormuz were hit, and Iran stated it had struck US assets in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, and Iraq. ⑷ US President Trump said he "doesn't care" whether Iran signs an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. ⑸ The latest round of attacks, which began earlier this week, was the first in nearly a month, further complicating diplomatic efforts to end the conflict and increasing the risk of additional oil supply disruptions. ⑹ US Energy Secretary Chris Wright stated that about 17 million barrels of crude oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, marking the highest daily volume since the conflict erupted.
