International General Insurance Announces Launch of Cipher Cyber Reinsurance Platform

10:04 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- International General Insurance (IGIC) said Tuesday it announced the launch of Cipher Underwriting, a Bermuda-based specialty treaty reinsurance managing general agent focused on cyber. The Cipher Underwriting platform will be owned 60% by International General Insurance through its IGI Managing Agencies subsidiary, the company said. Cipher will target a global portfolio of cyber treaty business, with the commencement of its operations subject to regulatory approvals, including registration and licensing by the Bermuda Monetary Authority, it said.
