Sector Update: Consumer

08:59 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Tuesday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) up 0.4% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) marginally declining. Boxabl (BXBL) stock was up more than 3% after the company said it has signed a multi-year purchase agreement with LC Vegas Acquisitions for up to 1,500 factory-built homes over three years.
