Medtronic Fiscal Q1 Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Rise; Fiscal 2027 Adjusted Earnings Outlook Raised

07:09 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Medtronic (MDT) reported fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings Tuesday of $1.45 per share, up from $1.26 a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.39. Revenue for the quarter ended July 31 was $9.76 billion, up from $8.58 billion a year earlier. Analysts expected $9.55 billion. The company expects fiscal 2027 adjusted earnings of $5.94 to $6 per share. Previous outlook was $5.90 to $6. Analysts expect $5.95. Separately, Medtronic said it formed a partnership with Cornerstone Robotics under which it will invest $700 million. The $700 million investment includes distribution rights for Cornerstone Robotics' Sentire surgical system in foreign markets where the system is approved, Medtronic added. Shares of the company were up 6.7% in Tuesday premarket activity.
