Cerebras (CBRS.US) builds a new 165-megawatt AI data center in Finland, accelerating its computing power expansion in Europe

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that Cerebras Systems (CBRS.US) announced on Tuesday the establishment of a new AI data center in Mikkeli, Finland, which is being developed in cooperation with Compute Nordic Finland. The facility will be expanded in phases to eventually reach a contracted IT capacity of 165 MW to provide high-density AI computing, with construction of the initial 50 MW phase already underway.

The agreement was officially reached through a series of service orders, each with a contractual term of seven years. In a statement, Cerebras said the agreement provides the company with long-term, purpose-built infrastructure to support the growing global demand for its artificial intelligence computing platforms, while also offering the Mikkeli region a long-term industrial pillar expected to generate substantial revenue and sustained employment opportunities.
