Gelonghui, September 1st | The Pentagon announced it will provide $174 million in financing to Alcoa for the construction of a gallium production facility at its alumina refinery in Western Australia. Alcoa expects that the facility, located at the Wagerup alumina refinery, will produce approximately 100 tons of gallium metal per year. The project commenced last month.
