Japan's public broadcaster NHK cited anonymous sources on Monday, reporting that the Japanese government plans to allocate 616 billion yen from its budget reserve to continue implementing fuel price relief measures in response to the ongoing pressure from high energy costs. 2. For aviation fuel subsidies, there are some adjustments in policy details: subsidies for domestic flight aviation fuel will be increased, while support for international flights will be cancelled. Previously, due to the continued weakness of the yen and the impact of the Middle East situation, domestic energy prices in Japan have remained at high levels for several consecutive months, prompting the government to use fiscal measures to ease pressure on people's livelihoods. 3. This round of subsidies continues to have a significant impact on Japan's domestic aviation industry. The increase in the domestic flight fuel subsidy is expected to alleviate cost pressures on airlines to some extent, while the cancellation of support for international flights may prompt airlines to adjust their international route pricing strategies, further affecting profit expectations for their international business.
