Strategy has resumed buying Bitcoin after a weeks-long pause, spending about $370 million to add 4,603 BTC last week. The purchase brings the company’s Bitcoin holdings to 845,050 BTC as of Aug. 30.

The company also added $29 million to its dollar reserves and repurchased about $152 million of its STRC preferred stock. Its combined USD assets now total about $6.71 billion, strengthening its liquidity position and providing more funds for financial obligations and its Bitcoin strategy.

Strategy paid about $80,380 for each Bitcoin in its latest purchase. That price exceeds the company’s average Bitcoin cost of roughly $75,385. Bitcoin recently traded near $78,725.

The company also extended the USD duration of its STRC preferred stock to four years. Meanwhile, its Bitcoin credit spread narrowed to 56 basis points, indicating improved financing conditions.

The latest purchase marks Strategy’s first reported Bitcoin acquisition since late June. The company had paused purchases while strengthening its liquidity position to meet financial obligations.

Strategy’s USD reserve stands at about $1.61 billion. The reserve provides funds to support preferred dividends and interest payments.

The company also holds a separate reserve of about $5.10 billion. Together, the two pools bring its reported USD assets to approximately $6.71 billion.

The stronger liquidity position gives Strategy additional flexibility as it continues its Bitcoin acquisition strategy while meeting its financing commitments.

Strategy shares gained 6.3% last week to $127.31, outperforming Bitcoin, which rose about 1% during the same period. Bitcoin has also climbed more than 25% over the past month.

The latest purchase signals Strategy’s return to its Bitcoin accumulation strategy after several weeks without a reported acquisition.
