Microsoft is attempting to reassure its internal staff by explaining the positive impact of the company’s data centers on society. An internal email sent this week to all employees by Noel Walsh, head of Microsoft’s development division, revealed that many employees continue to raise concerns about energy consumption, water usage, carbon emissions, and the impact of large data centers on local communities.
