Qatar Energy invites tenders to sell October-shipped crude oil, Reliance Industries of India participates in the purchase.

1. According to several trade sources, QatarEnergy sold at least 7 million barrels of various grades of Qatari crude for October loading through a tender this week. The cargoes are priced on an FOB (Free on Board) basis, with the transaction prices at a premium of about $6 to $7 per barrel over Dubai crude quotes, and will be loaded via ship-to-ship transfer outside the Strait of Hormuz.2. Indian refiner Reliance Industries separately purchased 1 million barrels each of Qatar Land, Qatar Marine, and Al Shaheen crude. These were priced on an FOB basis at a discount of $15 per barrel to Dubai crude quotes, with the loading location inside the Strait of Hormuz.
