Apple Sets Launch Event for Sept. 9. Is the Foldable iPhone Coming? -- Barrons.com

Apple on Wednesday announced its annual iPhone event for Sept. 9 and speculation is swirling the tech giant could be unveiling its foldable iPhone.
While the announcement was short on details, analysts expect Apple will announce its new iPhone 18 pro, the iPhone 18 pr max, and it's long-awaited foldable iPhone.
The event will also be the first under new CEO John Ternus, which could add pomp and circumstance to the festivities.
Apple didn't respond to a request for comment from Barron's regarding what the event will be about and whether the upcoming foldable iPhone will be launched.
Apple stock rose 1% to $313.05 on Wednesday. The S&P 500 was a fraction lower and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2%.
The event announcement comes after Apple on Tuesday launched several new products, including the next version of the Mac Mini desktop computer and the new Mac Studio desktop computer.
