JPMorgan expresses increasing optimism: Acquisition of Cursor yields immediate results, SpaceX (SPCX.US) Grok 4.6 performance surges by 5 points
SpaceX (SPCX.US) became the market focus on Tuesday, with JPMorgan expressing an increasingly optimistic outlook on SpaceX’s Grok AI model and chatbot.
According to Golden Ten Data APP, SpaceX (SPCX.US) became the market focus on Tuesday. JPMorgan stated that its outlook on SpaceX’s Grok artificial intelligence model and chatbot has become “increasingly optimistic”, especially after the company completed the acquisition of Cursor.
JPMorgan analyst Doug Anmuth wrote in a client report: “Cursor brings about $4 billion in annualized recurring revenue (ARR, as of June 2026), roughly 75% of which comes from enterprise clients. This will help streamline SpaceX’s go-to-market strategy and provide valuable data for model training.” He noted that Cursor’s data has been integrated into Grok’s auxiliary training and there has been a tangible improvement in recent model performance.
Anmuth gave SpaceX an “overweight” rating with a target price of $240. He stated that the acquisition of Cursor has already shown results—Grok 4.6, released earlier this month, improved by 5 points on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index compared to Grok 4.5, even though the two versions were only released a month apart.
Anmuth added: “Cutting-edge intelligence combined with costs significantly lower than peers position Grok 4.6 on the Pareto frontier, which is expected to support stronger adoption rates. SpaceX is leveraging these increasingly powerful models to develop competitive agent-type products. The launch of Grok Bot enables the company to better capitalize on the vast enterprise-level AI market opportunity.”
Looking ahead, Anmuth expects SpaceX to continue improving the iteration speed and quality of its AI models, with Grok 5 expected to launch before December.
Anmuth further noted: “Overall, although short-term AI revenue is primarily driven by premium computing power transactions ($30 to $50 per watt), we expect that, over time, Grok’s monetization capability—especially on the enterprise side—will become an increasingly important growth engine.”
