(1) According to data from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, for the week ending August 18, the net speculative short positions in Japanese yen futures were approximately 52,900 contracts. (2) Net speculative short positions in euro futures were approximately 59,100 contracts. (3) Net speculative short positions in British pound futures were approximately 54,600 contracts. (4) Net speculative short positions in Swiss franc futures were approximately 27,300 contracts.
