During the earnings call, the company's management described the second quarter as an important turning point—returning to Non-GAAP profitability driven by record-breaking revenue growth. Management indicated that demand related to AI infrastructure remains strong. At the same time, the company repeatedly emphasized that demand for their 800G products, as well as the upcoming 1.6T product, is already outpacing current production capacity. Third-quarter guidance suggests that both revenue and profits are expected to see significant increases.
Guotai Haitong Securities pointed out that AAOI’s results were in line with expectations, and capacity guidance was revised up again. With CPO and NPO as the core, vertically integrated (Scale up) optical interconnection technology is officially entering its commercialization cycle, opening up a brand new incremental market for the industry. The value and importance of optical interconnection in AI compute clusters is expected to continue rising.
