⑴ Norway's core inflation in July remained unchanged year-on-year at 2.7%, lower than both the central bank's forecast and market consensus, continuing the unexpected decline seen in June. This marks two consecutive months of deviation from the monetary policy report's projected path, with a short-term slowdown. ⑵ Mild inflation limits the urgency for the central bank to tighten policy this Thursday. Although the June statement indicated policymakers still favor future rate hikes, after two consecutive data releases below expectations, whether this guidance can be maintained has become a focal point. ⑶ The Norwegian krone has recently traded within a range against the euro, as oil market volatility and geopolitical risks have not led to a directional breakout. Technically, the euro is encountering resistance against the krone below the Ichimoku cloud, with the short-term outlook still favoring the krone.
