According to statistics, Carlyle's total holdings market value for the second quarter was $10 billion, compared to approximately $10.6 billion in the previous quarter, representing a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 0.193%. During the second quarter, Carlyle added only 3 new U.S. stocks to its portfolio, increased holdings in 2 stocks, reduced holdings in 2 stocks, and fully liquidated 4 stocks. Its top ten holdings accounted for 99.94% of Carlyle’s total portfolio value.

Among Carlyle’s top ten holdings as of Q2 2026, Medline (MDLN.US) is its largest position, with holdings of approximately 187 million shares and a market value of around $7.379 billion, accounting for as much as 73.78% of the portfolio, with no change in the total number of shares held versus the previous quarter. Medline is a leading distributor and manufacturer of medical and surgical products, offering approximately 335,000 products across two main business segments. The first is the “Medline Private Label” segment, covering self-produced and private label products; the second is the “Supply Chain Solutions” segment, responsible for distributing third-party medical supplies and providing logistics and procurement services to healthcare institutions.
StandardAero (SARO.US) ranks as Carlyle’s second largest holding, with approximately 84.587 million shares and a market value of about $2.53 billion, accounting for 25.30% of the portfolio, also unchanged from the previous quarter. Founded in 1911, StandardAero is a global established provider of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. The company focuses on aftermarket services for aircraft engines, covering both fixed-wing and rotary (helicopter) fleets, serving sectors including commercial aviation, business aviation, and military aviation.
Phathom Pharmaceuticals (PHAT.US) is Carlyle’s third largest holding with approximately 3.4968 million shares and a market value of around $37.9404 million, accounting for 0.38% of the portfolio, with no change from last quarter. Phathom Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on gastrointestinal (GI) acid-related diseases, specializing in the development and commercialization of potassium-competitive acid blockers (PCABs) — vonoprazan, holding exclusive rights to this mechanism for specific indications in the US, Europe, and Canada.
The US real estate company Invitation Homes Inc (INVH.US), which focuses on single-family home rentals, is Carlyle’s fourth largest holding with 662,900 shares and a market value of around $20.0262 million, accounting for 0.20% of the investment portfolio, representing a decrease of 0.18% compared to the previous quarter.
Chinese autonomous driving company Pony.ai (PONY.US) is ranked as Carlyle’s fifth largest holding, with approximately 2.3624 million shares and a market value of about $16.419 million, accounting for 0.16% of the portfolio, with no change in share count from the previous quarter.

In terms of changes in holdings proportions, Carlyle’s top five buys in the second quarter were: SunPower (SPWR.US), Riley Exploration Permian (REPX.US), new AI cloud company Nebius Group NV (NBIS.US), Ramaco Resources (METC.US), and Robinhood Markets (HOOD.US), with Riley Exploration Permian, Nebius, and Ramaco Resources being newly added positions in Q2.
The top five sells were: CubeSmart (CUBE.US), Q32 Bio (QTTB.US), Heartflow (HTFL.US), as well as Spyre Therapeutics (SYRE.US) and Exicure (XCUR.US), with CubeSmart, Exicure, Heartflow, and Spyre Therapeutics being fully liquidated by Carlyle in the second quarter.
