Stellantis Consensus Estimates Still Look Vulnerable to Cuts -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/08/07 10:561056 GMT - Shares in Jeep maker Stellantis have fallen 48% since the start of the year, but Bernstein still sees substantial scope for further estimate reductions, judging by Visible Alpha consensus data. The bank has reduced its 2026, 2027 and 2028 adjusted operating income estimates, which now sit 20%, 21% and 29% below consensus, respectively. Nearer term, consensus expectations of broadly similar shipment levels in North America in the second half of 2026 to the first half seem a stretch if dealer inventory levels are to be controlled, the bank adds. "A reduction in the production rate in 2H26 seems necessary from the current perspective." The bank downgrades the stock to underperform from market-perform and lowers its price target to 4 euros from 6.20 euros. Shares fall 3.1% to 4.72 euros. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
