0412 GMT - LIG Defense & Aerospace could export more of its M-SAM II medium-range surface-to-air missile defense systems to the Middle East, where client countries are running low on anti-ballistic missiles, Nomura's Eon Hwang says. Given the depletion of ABMs following the recent military conflict in the region, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait could place more purchase orders for M-SAM II, the analyst writes in a note. The South Korean defense company's new overseas M-SAM II contract wins could be worth 13 trillion won over the next three years--including 4 trillion won in 2026, 5 trillion won in 2027 and 4 trillion won in 2028, he adds.
