Scripps Says Local Political Revenue Could Hit $250M -- Market Talk

Scripps said local political revenue this year could reach between $225 million and $250 million, as a number of competitive races will be in states where it has significant presence. Scripps said its local media political advertising was a second-quarter record at $28 million, with consolidated revenues coming in at $490.4 million. The company added midterm races taking place in Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, Nevada and Wisconsin could contribute to local political revenue. Scripps said it expects local media revenue will increase by about 20% in the third quarter, compared to the same period in 2025. (stephen.nakrosis@wsj.com)
