Glonghui, July 16 | Health insurance company Elevance Health announced that its second-quarter revenue edged up year-on-year to $49.83 billion, surpassing analysts' average expectation of $48.88 billion. Adjusted earnings per share fell about 16% year-on-year to $7.45, still higher than analysts' forecast of $6.21. As of the end of June, total medical membership stood at 44.9 million, down 1% quarter-on-quarter and 1.5% year-on-year, mainly due to known commercial fee-based customer transitions as well as the loss of individual Affordable Care Act and Medicaid members. The company now expects at least $27 in adjusted earnings per share in 2026, above the previous forecast of $26.75.
