The cryptocurrency market is broadly declining, with the DeFi sector dropping over 3%.
Foresight News reported, citing SoSoValue data, that the crypto market sectors experienced a general pullback. The DeFi sector fell by 3.28%, Hyperliquid (HYPE) dropped 5.59%, DeXe (DEXE) declined 10.93%, but Beldex (BDX) and Velvet (VELVET) bucked the trend, rising by 16.24% and 18.46% respectively. Meanwhile, Bitcoin (BTC) fell by 1.71%, dropping below 63,000 US dollars; Ethereum (ETH) decreased by 1.48%, dipping below 1,800 US dollars.
In other sectors, the Layer2 sector was down 0.12% in the past 24 hours, with Polygon (ex-MATIC) (POL) demonstrating resilience and rising by 2.67%; the CeFi sector declined by 1.21%, with Cronos (CRO) down 2.64%; the Meme sector decreased by 1.76%, and SPX6900 (SPX) dropped 8.38%; the Layer1 sector decreased by 2.20%, while NEAR Protocol (NEAR) surged by 2.94% during the session; the PayFi sector dropped 2.36%, but eCash (XEC) increased by 17.48%. According to the crypto sector indices reflecting historical sector performance, the ssiDePIN, ssiAI, and ssiDeFi indices fell by 3.68%, 3.60%, and 3.46% respectively.
