Maple Releases MIP-021 Proposal: Plans to Launch a Revenue-Linked Rule-Based Buyback Mechanism
Foresight News reported that on-chain credit protocol Maple has released governance proposal MIP-021, which aims to introduce a rules-based buyback mechanism linked to revenue. The proposal stipulates that when monthly revenue is less than $1.5 million, 10% of revenue will be used to buy back SYRUP; for monthly revenue between $1.5 million and $2 million, 20% of revenue will be used for buybacks; and if monthly revenue exceeds $2 million, 30% of revenue will go toward buybacks. All buyback operations will be transparent and determined by governance voting. The proposal is currently in the feedback stage, and voting will begin on July 13.
