Status Network announces integration into Linea ecosystem and will no longer launch an independent mainnet
According to ChainCatcher, Status Network has announced that it will merge its gas-free and privacy L2 technology into the Linea ecosystem, becoming the latter’s native distribution layer and discontinuing its independent mainnet. The purpose of this merger is to unify the technical roadmaps and liquidity for both parties, avoid ecosystem fragmentation, and enable Status to fully focus its resources on its core application, the Status App.
The official announcement states that the previous pre-deposit vault has been closed and all related assets will be migrated to the Linea mainnet. When withdrawals open on the Linea mainnet, pre-deposit users will be able to withdraw both their principal and accrued earnings, and will also receive in total 20 million SNT and 20 million LINEA liquidity rewards proportionally. The detailed migration timeline and testnet developer migration guidelines will be officially released next week.
