Apyx: Releases Apyx 2.0 to redesign its capitalization framework
According to Odaily, official sources from Apyx report that during the recent drop in Bitcoin, STRC experienced its largest historical decline, causing the price of apxUSD on the secondary market to fall to 0.90 USD. During this event, the protocol remained solvent throughout, and there were no bad debts in the Morpho lending market.
In response to issues revealed in this stress test, such as overnight liquidity and inaccurate net asset value display, Apyx has officially launched Apyx 2.0. This version introduces two independent metrics: redemption value and total collateral value, aiming to eliminate the frontrunner arbitrage opportunities caused by NAV-based redemptions.
Additionally, Apyx 2.0 will launch a new RFQ redemption system, allowing approved counterparties to provide redemption execution around reserves through bidding. Officials also commit that in the future, if apxUSD deviates more than 2% from NAV, a public status update will be released within 2 hours.
