Metaplanet: Strongly Considering Stock Buyback When mNAV is Less Than 1, Bitcoin Yield is Key Performance Metric
BlockBeats News, June 9th: Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich posted on social media:
"BTC Yield is our key performance metric, and our capital allocation is focused on maximizing this metric for our shareholders. Stock buyback is a core element of our capital allocation policy (established on October 28, 2025). As previously disclosed, when the price-to-book ratio is below 1.0x, we will actively consider repurchasing common stock to maximize the BTC Yield, and the lower the price-to-book ratio, the greater the potential appreciation effect.
Buyback remains a key tool in our capital allocation policy. Of course, any buyback must comply with applicable insider trading and disclosure rules, including restrictions on material non-public information and monthly disclosure requirements. Therefore, we cannot comment on the specific timing, status, or execution of any buybacks until proper disclosure is made.
This statement should not be construed as implying that we are currently or will be conducting buybacks at any specific time."
