Ripple Stablecoin Business SVP: Ripple will soon obtain an OCC charter
Foresight News reports that Jack McDonald, Senior Vice President of Ripple's stablecoin business, stated at the “Consensus 2026” conference in Miami that Ripple's stablecoin business currently holds a New York State regulatory license and "will soon obtain an OCC charter." He also mentioned that the company already holds multiple licenses in other regions worldwide. McDonald pointed out that institutional clients who want to fully unlock the accessible market for stablecoins require the highest regulatory qualifications. With BNY acting as custodian and partners such as Deloitte providing endorsement, they are confident in migrating real funds and transaction volume on-chain.
