LayerZero co-founder responds to KelpDAO controversy: Most allegations are false, and key configurations were manually modified
Odaily reported that LayerZero Labs co-founder and CEO Bryan Pellegrino responded to the controversy surrounding KelpDAO on the X platform, stating that most of the recent accusations about KelpDAO are "completely untrue." He explained that Kelp initially used the default MultiDVN or DeadDVN configuration, but on-chain records show that it was manually changed to a 1/1 configuration on April 1, 2024, while the official documentation repeatedly recommends using a 2/3 configuration for production environments.
Bryan Pellegrino said that the DeadDVN mechanism will reject transaction paths that do not correctly configure the DVN, preventing applications from running with default parameters, and pointed out that the LayerZero team had previously given explicit configuration advice to KelpDAO. He also revealed that a full analysis report will be released after confirmation by external security firms.
