Bitcoin ZK Rollup project Citrea launches token CTR
Foresight News reports, according to The Block, the Bitcoin ZK Rollup project Citrea has launched the CTR token. The total supply of CTR is capped at 10 billion tokens, with 60% allocated to the community. This includes 12% distributed as initial shares during the genesis airdrop, 25.16% into the treasury managed by xCTR, and 22.83% designated for ecosystem development. The remaining 40% consists of 19.35% allocated to investors and 20.66% to early contributors. These tokens will be locked and released gradually after 4 years.
Citrea also introduces a dual treasury system, where the Citrea governance treasury is directly controlled by xCTR holders, who will vote on liquidity incentives, council and infrastructure providers, and payments. The independent Citrea Foundation treasury will be responsible for research and development, ecosystem funding, operations, and strategic initiatives.
