Chevron says its Australian natural gas facility was damaged by a storm, which will affect the restart process.

Golden Ten Data reported on March 29 that Chevron (CVX.N) stated its Wheatstone natural gas facility in Australia suffered storm damage, which is affecting restart operations. Over the past week, tropical cyclone "Megan" disrupted normal operations of mines and liquefied natural gas facilities along Australia’s northern and western coastlines. In a statement, Chevron said: "The Wheatstone natural gas facility near Onslow sustained equipment damage due to severe weather, impacting restart efforts." The company added that the Wheatstone facility will require "several weeks" to return to full production.
