Data: BTC and ETH options with a combined notional value of over $15.1 billions are set to expire this quarter
According to ChainCatcher, based on monitoring by Greeks.live macro analyst Adam, today is quarterly options expiration day, with a large number of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) options set to expire. The number of expiring BTC options is 68,000 contracts, with a notional value of approximately $13 billion. The maximum pain point is $74,000, and the put/call ratio (PCR) is 0.56. The number of expiring ETH options is 370,000 contracts, with a notional value of approximately $2.12 billion. The maximum pain point is $2,250, and the PCR is also 0.56.
Approximately 36% of Bitcoin and Ethereum options are expiring, with a large number of options having been rolled over this week. At its peak, more than 40% of the total options open interest was affected. In addition, since this is a major expiration day, the proportion of calls is very high, and the PCR is only 0.56.
