Glonghui, February 2|Reuters, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that SpaceX, Elon Musk's space exploration company, achieved an EBITDA profit of approximately $8 billion last year, with revenue between $15 billion and $16 billion, and is expected to go public this year. According to insiders, some banks estimate that based on this, its financing scale may exceed $50 billion, and its valuation could surpass $1.5 trillion. SpaceX plans to launch the world's largest IPO around June 28, just before Musk's 55th birthday. Reportedly, Musk's satellite internet system Starlink is the main source of revenue, accounting for 50% to 80% of total income. Musk expects Starship to begin carrying payloads into space this year. Musk ultimately plans to use Starship to launch space-based AI data centers, a risky and emerging business still in its infancy, which is related to the proposed merger deal with xAI.

Crude oil is "coming back", but refined oil is "not coming back"; the global refining gap is widening.

According to Goldman Sachs, global refined oil exports have declined by about 6 million barrels per day year-on-year, with the Gulf region and Russia contributing three-quarters of the decrease. Unlike crude oil, which can be rerouted, damaged refineries cannot be relocated, and the Gulf region's refined oil exports have only recovered to 40% of pre-war levels. Goldman Sachs expects global refinery utilization rates to recover only by the second half of 2027; based on this, it has more than doubled its forecast for diesel profit margins in 2027.
