May 9 news, Metis announced that the next phase of Metis L2's evolution will commence on May 14, with the launch of the Andromeda upgrade, marking the first stage of Metis ReGenesis evolution. This upgrade introduces two groundbreaking innovations: a fraud proof mechanism and data availability migration to the Ethereum mainnet. Combined with Metis' already launched decentralized sequencer, these updates will make Andromeda the first truly fully decentralized Layer 2 network.
