The Federal Reserve's Beige Book showed that economic activity in most districts maintained a slight to moderate pace of growth during the current reporting cycle; prices rose at a moderate pace, with payrolls growing at rates ranging from moderate to modest; household spending was essentially unchanged in most districts; and employment grew slightly.
