US jobless claims rise to highest since end-2021
U.S. jobless claims rose last week to the highest level since the end of 2021, indicating that the unemployed are taking longer to find work. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, as of June 15 week, the number of renewed jobless claims rose to about 1.84 million. Meanwhile, initial jobless claims fell to 233,000 last week.
