Solana's on-chain mining program Ore has been suspended and is expected to resume in a few weeks with a v2 upgrade
April 16, 2011 - Solana on-chain mining project Ore has announced that mining has been suspended in order to focus on v2 development. There is no deadline for receiving rewards, and all existing Ore tokens can be upgraded 1:1 to the new v2 version. Ore developers say mining will resume when current system issues are resolved and the open source client software is rebuilt for users. This process is expected to take a few weeks as the changes need to be implemented, tested and reviewed. ORE is a mineable token that was deployed to Solana on April 2, offering people who deposit SOLs into smart contracts the opportunity to earn a protocol reward of 1 ORE per minute by correctly solving cryptographic puzzles similar to proof-of-work operations.
