The three major U.S. stock indexes expanded their gains, with the S&P 500 index expanding to 1%, the Nasdaq rising 1.3%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising more than 0.7%. Star technology stocks strengthened, with TSMC rising 4.7%, Meta Platforms rising 3.6%, and Amazon and Microsoft rising more than 2%.
