NFT Market Expected to Recover in 2024
According to reports, industry leaders widely believe that 2024 could be one of the most impactful years for the crypto space. Amid the ongoing crypto bear market, NFTs have experienced the weakest performance. Despite a recent uptick in NFT trading volume, the industry has still seen a decline of 93% since its peak in early 2022. Pedro Herrera, Head of Research at DappRadar, expressed his belief that NFTs will undergo a significant recovery in 2024. He contends that the underlying technology of NFTs has matured enough to begin realizing its full potential, extending far beyond simple collectible exchanges. Herrera points out that developments in areas such as tokenization of real-world assets, gaming, and the metaverse indicate that the applications of NFTs have expanded beyond mere collectibles. He anticipates that this trend will continue to gain momentum throughout 2024.
