Solana Search Interest Surpasses Ethereum, Especially Popular in Spain and the Philippines
Reportedly, Solana (SOL) has seen a significant increase in value in 2023, particularly with notable growth in mid-December. Recently, Google search interest in Solana has surpassed that of Ethereum, especially gaining popularity in countries like Spain and the Philippines. As the search interest rises, Solana's trading volume has surged, surpassing Ethereum in certain other indicators. Currently, Solana's price has increased by 1000% since January 1st, with the current price around $107, according to data from CoinGecko. The token has gradually risen throughout the year, with the fastest growth observed in mid-December. This could be one of the reasons why Solana's search volume on Google has surpassed Ethereum. The current indices are 56 for the former and 51 for the latter. Google search is often a lagging indicator, typically increasing after a rise in price. Google data also shows that among the countries searching for Solana, there is significant interest in the meme coin Bonk Inu (BONK) based on the Solana network.
