According to CoinGecko data, total crypto market volume on May 18 was $37.611 billion, down 4.42% in a single day compared to May 17 ($39.35 billion). The volume figure has fallen back to levels seen at the beginning of January this year (when the bitcoin price was in the $16,000-$17,000 range).
