Over the past three weeks, Bitcoin has experienced several 4% to 6% pullbacks, but the price has not yet effectively broken out of this range. Short-term resistance first lies around $78,200, with stronger resistance above approaching $80,151. Over the past week, Bitcoin has repeatedly attempted to break through $80,000 but failed to hold, making this level a key observation point for the continuation of the rebound. Inflation and US Treasury Yields Suppress Buying Interest With oil prices returning above $100 per barrel, the market is again concerned about energy costs pushing up inflation. Stronger-than-expected US inflation data could reinforce expectations that the Federal Reserve will maintain its tightening stance, or even raise interest rates further. Meanwhile, US Treasury yields remain high. The 10-year Treasury yield is close to 4.86%, and the 30-year yield is close to 5.31%. Against the backdrop of rising returns on fixed-income assets, some funds are more inclined towards interest-bearing assets such as bonds, putting pressure on non-interest-bearing assets like Bitcoin. Weak spot demand also makes selling pressure in the derivatives market more likely to amplify price volatility. Especially near areas of high liquidation activity, forced liquidation of leveraged positions often exacerbates short-term declines or rebounds. Liquidation Activity Below $77,300 From a technical perspective, Bitcoin's daily MACD has formed a death cross, and the RSI has also fallen from its previous high level, indicating that upward momentum is weakening. However, the RSI is still above 50, meaning that the bulls have not completely lost control. CoinGlass's weekly liquidation heatmap shows that the nearest large liquidity zone below the current price is between $77,300 and $77,600. If the price continues to fall into this area, it may trigger more long liquidation, but it may also attract some funds to buy at lower levels. Above the price, there are two relatively obvious short liquidation zones, located around $80,500 and $81,800 respectively. If Bitcoin regains the $80,000 level, short covering could push the price closer to these areas. If the $76,000 to $77,000 range is breached, the next key support level on the daily chart is around $72,477.
