Bitget Extends Emergency Relief to Communities Impacted by Cyclone Ditwah in Sri Lanka, Supported by CeylonCash and Infinite Grace Foundation

Colombo, Sri Lanka, December 9, 2025—Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), is extending humanitarian support to families affected by Cyclone Ditwah, which brought severe flooding, landslides and widespread disruption across multiple districts in Sri Lanka. Working in collaboration with the CeylonCash and Infinite Grace Foundation, Bitget is supporting a multi-tier relief effort to deliver essential supplies to communities still battling the aftermath of the storm.
Cyclone Ditwah’s impact has been particularly harsh for low-income and rural households. Heavy rain and rising water levels displaced families, destroyed property, and cut off access to daily necessities. In colder highland regions such as Nuwara Eliya, temperature drops intensified the urgency for immediate aid, especially among vulnerable groups including children and the elderly.
Through its partnership with the CeylonCash and Infinite Grace Foundation, Bitget is supporting the distribution of critical relief items tailored to the needs on the ground. Supplies include drinking water, warm blankets for high-altitude areas, clothing for women and children, and week-long dry ration family packs to help restore a basic sense of security while infrastructure remains disrupted. Distribution will follow a tiered approach, ensuring that families receive sustained support while conditions continue to evolve.
“Cyclone Ditwah has placed immense strain on communities that were already facing difficult circumstances,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. “Supporting relief efforts in Sri Lanka reflects the idea that progress in the digital economy should always be paired with compassion in the real world.”
The Infinite Grace Foundation along with CeylonCash coordinated directly with local leaders and community volunteers to identify the hardest hit neighborhoods, prioritizing households with limited access to shelter, food, and clean water. Early assessments indicate that continued aid will be essential as families rebuild homes, reopen schools, and restore local services disrupted by the cyclone.
Our mission has always been rooted in love, dignity, and purpose and it’s in moments like this that those values matter more than ever,” said Stephanie Siriwardhana, Founder of the Infinite Grace Foundation. “In the middle of so much devastation, we’ve witnessed the most incredible solidarity. It has been wholesome, heartfelt, and a beautiful reminder of what it truly means to be Sri Lankan. We are deeply grateful to Bitget, Ceylon Cash, and to everyone around the world who has stepped forward to stand with us. Together, as one nation, we will rebuild, support one another, and rise again.
Bitget’s support reflects its broader humanitarian approach across Asia and the growing role of digital-economy institutions in crisis response. By combining timely funding with trusted local networks, the initiative aims to ensure that assistance reaches families quickly and equitably. As Sri Lanka enters its recovery phase, Bitget and the Infinite Grace Foundation will continue monitoring conditions to support ongoing relief where the need remains greatest.
