Introduction: Asset Reversion and the Rebirth of Capital

On October 8, 2026, as we review the latest market trends, crypto finance is profoundly reshaping the fate of publicly listed companies. The first move Genius Group made after winning in court was to repurchase Bitcoin at a high price of $85,000; meanwhile, Universal Safety Products went even further, smashing its old “safety products” sign for a new one: “DeFi Capital Markets.” Faced with the enormous wealth effect of crypto assets and the grand narrative of reconstructing the financial system, traditional companies are now making their truest stance with real money on the table.

1. The Return of Genius Group: Aggressive Reaccumulation after Compliance Friction

Yesterday, Genius Group announced the resumption of its Bitcoin allocation. Though involving only 10 BTC, this marks a symbolic event for the US equities treasury ecosystem.

Previously, due to legal disputes and preliminary injunctions, the company watched Bitcoin's price soar but was unable to access funds to increase its holdings, missing an excellent entry window. The decision by the US Second Circuit Court of Appeals on August 31 not only lifted the legal constraints on Genius Group, but also set a precedent for other listed companies seeking to follow suit but worrying about judicial intervention.

Purchasing 10 BTC at an extremely high average price of $85,364 may seem small in scale, but in reality, Genius Group is sending a strong recovery signal to Wall Street: not only is the company’s treasury strategy alive, but it is rebooting at a higher price starting point. It is foreseeable that with legal obstacles cleared, Genius Group is highly likely to intensively initiate private placements or convertible bond issuances in the coming quarters, ushering in a wave of “revenge” leverage-driven balance sheet expansion.

2. UUU Reborn as DCM: The Boldest “Crypto Shell Swap” Yet

If Genius Group merely tinkered with its balance sheet, Universal Safety Products ($UUU)’s transformation is a soul-level remake.

This company with a traditional industrial background will officially rebrand as DeFi Capital Markets ($DCM) on October 19. Most notably, the management has not chosen a “traditional + crypto” gradual transition, but instead announced the phased shutdown and complete divestiture of all legacy, real-world product businesses.

This “burn the boats” approach precisely fits Wall Street’s preferences in 2026:

  1. Purification of valuation models: Mixed-business companies are often rejected by both traditional and crypto-native funds. Shedding real-world operations, DCM becomes a 100% genuine Web3 target, making it far easier to command high P/E and P/B multiples.

  1. Catching the RWA explosion dividend: The company’s strategic focus is precisely on “Real World Asset Tokenization (RWA),” “market-making services,” and “quantitative trading.” Now that stablecoins and government bonds are routinely deployed on-chain, DCM aims to be the licensed, compliant “ferryman” for traditional financial assets crossing into decentralized networks. Such positioning offers a much broader financial services cash flow vision than simply hoarding Bitcoin.

These two crucial announcements on October 8 are a microcosm of how crypto ecosystems downgraded traditional capital markets in late 2026. In the face of unstoppable trends, compliance disputes can only temporarily slow treasury advances (as seen with Genius Group), and outdated capacities ultimately surrender to the most efficient blockchain financial networks (as UUU’s transformation shows). As established firms willingly shed their old lines and don DeFi armor, the global campaign for digital assets appears already decided.
