Microsoft launches Surface Laptop Ultra with a starting price of $2,599

At an event in San Francisco on Wednesday local time, Microsoft executives said that when running local models, the Surface Laptop Ultra returns prompt responses twice as fast as the Apple MacBook Pro M5 and generates videos six times faster than Apple’s similar device. The Surface Laptop Ultra will soon begin shipping, with a starting price of $2,599, approximately $400 less than the entry-level 16-inch MacBook Pro. The new Surface, powered by Nvidia chips, supports both general computing and AI computing. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang joined Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on stage to discuss the development of this new type of PC chip. Jensen Huang stated: “We have completely reinvented the personal computer.”
