US companies accelerated hiring in September, further indicating that the economy may be improving. Data released on Wednesday by the ADP Research Institute showed that US private sector employment increased by 90,000, while the median forecast by economists was an increase of 75,000. The previous month's figure was revised to an increase of 36,000.
