Barclays Reportedly Delays Back-to-Office Mandate After Employee Backlash

01:53 PM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Barclays (BCS) has delayed its back-to-office mandate after a backlash from employees, multiple media outlets reported Tuesday. The plan to have employees come in at least three days a week was slated to start Oct. 5, but the bank said in an email to staff that there would now be a transition period until the start of 2027, according to the reports.
