France plans to issue €340 billion in medium and long-term bonds in 2027, with a total financing requirement reaching €339.7 billion. A record €189.2 billion in outstanding debt will mature, further increasing refinancing pressure. The French Government Debt Agency (AFT) expects the 3-month Treasury bill rate to be 3% and the 10-year benchmark government bond yield to be 4.3%, highlighting that France’s public finances are facing an increasingly expensive financing environment.
