According to Zhitong Finance APP, AstraZeneca (AZN.US) announced an investment in the US biotechnology company Summit Therapeutics (SMMT.US) and launched a collaboration on a new anti-cancer drug. Following this, AstraZeneca rose about 2% in pre-market trading on Tuesday, and SMMT’s gains widened to about 23%. Analysts from JPMorgan and Citigroup welcomed the deal, saying it aligns with AstraZeneca’s cancer strategy.
