The CEO of Lucid Group Inc. stated that the electric vehicle manufacturer has completed its collaboration with a restructuring advisory team, indicating that the troubled company now has a clearer path to turn around its operations.

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that Lucid Group Inc. (LCID.US) CEO stated that the electric vehicle manufacturer has completed its cooperation with a restructuring consulting team, indicating that the struggling company now has a clearer path to turn around its operations.

CEO Silvio Napoli said in an interview on Thursday that the collaboration with consulting firm AlixPartners LLP has ended. Previously, the company brought in AlixPartners to assist in achieving its goal of saving $1.4 billion in cash this year. Napoli has been conducting operational evaluations in an effort to optimize the business, reduce costs, and ensure a smooth launch for the new mid-sized vehicle.

"This is an exciting moment, and the necessary bitter medicine must be taken early," Napoli said.

Lucid's stock surged more than 12% intraday on Thursday, marking the biggest single-day gain since late July. At that time, Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud disclosed his stake in the company. By the close, Lucid's share price had fallen 59% year-to-date.

After the turmoil of 2025, the automaker continues to navigate a challenging demand environment. The company faced major disruptions in 2025, including production challenges, supply shortages, and significant changes in trade and electric vehicle policies under the Trump administration.

Meanwhile, as the conflict in Iran continues and oil prices soar, this could present an opportunity for Lucid to attract a group of consumers beginning to focus on fuel economy. The company is also seeking to expand vehicle sales to the growing global robotaxi market.

Earlier this year, Napoli took the helm at Lucid and has already undertaken large-scale cost reductions, leadership adjustments, and layoffs to address weak demand from U.S. consumers.

On Wednesday, Lucid also announced an agreement with European ride-hailing company Bolt to deploy at least 25,000 autonomous vehicles in European cities, based on Lucid's upcoming mid-size vehicle platform. This is Lucid's second major partnership in the ride-hailing sector. Previously, in April, the electric vehicle manufacturer announced collaboration with Uber (UBER.US) and Nuro to deploy autonomous Lucid Gravity SUVs and mid-size autonomous models on Uber's platform.
